Our client, a healthcare organization located in LaGrange, IN has an immediate staffing need for a long term (One year) contract Electronic Medical Records Clerk. The assignment will last a min of one year and expected to go temp-to-hire. Your regular work schedule will be Monday thru Friday (8:00am to 4:30pm). This is an entry level Electronic Medical Records Clerk Position and training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities
Preparing, indexing, and importing clinical documents by scanning into the electronic medical record through a software imaging application to ensure a timely and accurate availability of information for treatment continuity.
1) Prepping – This includes sorting what needs to be in the record,
2) Indexing – This included placing the documents into the proper patient record in the EMR
3) Scanning – This includes the actual physical process of scanning the documents into the EMR
Photocopying medical documents that are of poor image quality that cannot be scanned.
Completion of daily productivity and progress logs is required.

Job Skills
Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) is required.
HS degree required, AS degree is preferred
OnBase Unity and Epic experience are preferred.
Previous experience in a Hospital Medical Records / Health Information Management Department or medical office is preferred.
Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
