Our client, a growing Non-For-Profit Organization located on the far north side of Chicago, has an immediate staffing need for a direct hire full-time experienced Senior Physician E/M Medical Biller and Coder with knowledge of credentialing.

Job Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for overseeing all of the revenue cycle management activities.
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of claims, and correction of and denied claims.
• Manage bad debt write-offs and review Medicare bad debt reports monthly.
• Implement billing software and clearinghouse changes, and maintain up-to-date information.
• Oversee Patient Financial Advocates: Ensure the accurate application of the Sliding Fee Discount Scale. 
• Maintain the clearinghouse and insurance portal access.
• Generate, review, and submit electronic patient statement files monthly.
• Oversee coding and review processes & prepare billing and financial reports for month-end.
• Assist with staff training and development to ensure compliance.
• Assist with departmental audits.

Job Qualifications

• Min of 3 years of experience in primary care E/M medical billing/ AR working for an FQHC.
• E/M Physician Medical Billing and Coding experience is required.
• Must have at least 1 year of Credentialing experience.
• Experience working for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Knowledge of billing terminology, coding standards, and experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance, online systems, and Explanations of Benefits.
• Proficiency with both eClinicalWorks and Microsoft Office.
