Our client, a large Insurance Co, has a need for a Senior Property / Casualty Commercial Underwriter. This is a direct hire position.  You will provide third-party underwriting services and be responsible for performing captive underwriting comprised of property/casualty including workers’ compensation lines of business with account premiums ranging from $25,000 – $2,000,000 in premium

This is a W-2 position.  No C2C Candidates Permitted with our client.

Salary ($75,000 – $83,500)

Project Length:  Until December 2025

Hybrid (1-2 days in the office)

Office Location: Austin, TX. (1-2 days in the office)

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintains strong relationships with agents, brokers, carrier contacts and internal department personnel.
• Works with claims and risk control teams to assist in any program service issues.
• Assists in the development and administration of complex underwriting rules and guidelines.
• Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to improve risk selection.
• Acts as a technical resource for property and casualty coverage lines of business.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance or finance from an accredited college or university preferred.
• 6 Years of Commercial Insurance Underwriting Experience (Public entity Preferred, Not required)
• TX P&C License Required or MUST obtain within 6months of hire.

Preferred Experience

• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI), Certificate in Captive Insurance (CCI) and/or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) courses and/or designations preferred.

Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check, is required for this position
